What do a fashion designer, an ancient Greek philosopher, and an 18th Century American writer have in common?  Some noteworthy thoughts about the nature and value of labor, that’s what. Here’s a sampling of their ideas.

“A lot of hard work is hidden behind nice things.”  — Ralph Lauren

“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.”  — Aristotle

“A man is not paid for having a head and hands, but for using them.”  — Elbert Hubbard

It’s difficult, if not impossible, to argue with any of those expressions this Labor Day.

As our work with customers proves repeatedly, the impressive results we accomplish together come only after a lot of hard work, analysis, planning, execution, evaluation, and adjustments have been completed.  Ralph would fashionably concur.

The sense of accomplishment and satisfaction we share with our customers as progress is made and results are realized spurs us on to continue to improve, always looking to do even better with every engagement.  Aristotle told us that would be the case.

And the OC Reilly team comprises professionals with first-hand experience from the customer’s perspective. Applying our knowledge and using our skill on their behalf is only possible when we dig in and get our hands dirty.  Mr. Hubbard had us pegged, more than a century ago.

There is dignity in labor.  We remain honored to devote ourselves to the service of our customers.  It is a privilege we will never take lightly or for granted.  As we celebrate with friends and family this Labor Day, we commit once again to dedicating all our talents and energies to support our customers in achieving their goals.

Happy Labor Day.
